Google's NotebookLM AI platform can be a fun tool to use in the office and can even transform plain pieces of text into a conversational podcast.

Large language models like ChatGPT have completely revolutionised how people perform their digital tasks, especially in the office.

From a quick read about it. Yes, you give it a topic, it'll generate a podcast that you can listen to. You can then even join in the call and ask the "hosts" questions. It seems legit cool. But at the same time, knowing the track record of AI hallucinations, I'd still verify whatever they tell you.

My favourite generative ai tool. The features are amazing, it's especially useful for educators and learners who want to create their own learning materials.

NotebookLM really comes into it's own when doing literature surveys. You can dump a lot of pdf files of research papers into it and then query specific aspects of a topic, including comparisons between the authors. To do this the old fashioned way can take weeks, and usually produces worse results since you can not hold all that information in your head over that period of time. This obviously does not replace some reading since familiarity with the topic will be required to get decent results.

Well you can upload up to 50 sources using the free version and generate video and audio overviews, mindmaps, quizzes, infographics etc. There's a limit with the number of sources that you can upload onto Claude Ai etc if you don't have a subscription.
