I'm quite a noob when it comes to cooking, and while I know there are a lot of other good / better chefs out there, Gordon's l33t skills have always amazed me. I find his books a couple of levels beyond my capabilities, and his recipes a bit too extravagant (well not all of them, but most of them), but I've signed up for the waiting list anyway
