Got a Macbook, help me find good apps and navigate the system

Recently got a Macbook to dip my toes into macOS, going well so far but I need to find a few apps to do basic stuff.
Ideally free or not too costly.
At this point I'm looking for a Clipboard app that will keep a history of my clips and can be triggered with a keyboard shortcut.
Ideally one that has options for pasting like text only/Capitalise case, remove line feeds etc. Something like Ditto for Windows.
A video player, probably just use VLC but if there are better options please feel free.
An image viewer that's fast and allows easily scrolling through large quantities of images in fullscreen, that doesn't seem possible in preview and with Photos it appears you need to first import files which I don't always want to do.
PDF viewer that can also paste signatures
That's all I can think of for now but I'll surely have a few more in due course.

You can actually do this with preview, only trick is to select all beforehand: Cmd + A, press space, go fullscreen -> scroll through:

I remember years ago a friend showing me some pics on his Mac and he clearly wasn't aware of the above so he was opening each and every image in a separate Preview window, it was very tedious

I've been using macOS exclusively for 3 years now except for the odd time here and there I have to RDP into some Windows setup. It has a lot of functionally like this that is hidden away.

Few things off the top of my head:

• Get the Rectangle app (it's free)
• Set up hot corners and get used to using gestures
• Use Spotlight often, it's one of macOs/iOS' best features imo
• The Quick Actions context menu in Finder has some incredibly useful things that are baked in the OS, like quick image resize/convert:
• You can batch rename files by just selecting them all and clicking rename
• 

My last tip would be to not expect it to work like Windows, it's a completely different OS all together and has it's own way of doing things.

I've tried a few and VLC is as good as anything on MacBook imo. I use nPlayer on my iPad and iPhone which costs about R200 one off iirc, so not sure it's worth the extra bucks for Infuse.

Just use Preview. Is it the full screen or the multiple images you are struggling with?

Again just use Preview or if you really can’t deal with that use the official Adobe app.

My stance is the more you can do with vanilla MacOS the happier for it you’ll be.

You can also just press Space on an image and browse them like that with the arrow keys but it’s a bit dependant on your current view so can be a bit odd at times.

Can’t remember if you can switch it to Full Screen but it’s the standard way of browsing Finder images.

You can select them and open them in Preview proper by pressing Command + O assuming Preview is your default viewer app.

Space is actually not Preview but Quick Look which is sort of the same thing but not.

Select all the images in a folder, right click(yes you can do that ) hold Option and "Slideshow 123 items" appears on the context menu. Quicklook then goes fullscreen with nav controls to move through the images you have selected.

Yea Shottr looks really good. I use different tools for things like colour codes and blurring sections but Shottr does it all in one so going to give it a go!
