Hi,
So I got a xbox the other day yay:D.I want to connect my xbox to my pc monitor Im using a dvi cable with a dvi-hdmi convertor because my monitor doesn't have a hdmi port. But I need to use the composite cable for my speakers. But now the composite cable blocks the hdmi port.
What is the best way to get an around this? Can I just saw off the bit that blocks the cable? Or is there a place what sells a composite cable for xbox without that annoying bit.

Second question
My monitor is a Dell u2411m it's capable of doing 1920 x 1200 res. It gives me the option of going 1920 x 1080 but every time I select it, screen goes black for a while and then comes back to the previous res. The highest res it allows me to go is 1680 x 1050. I’m using the same dvi cable with my pc and it runs on 1920 x 1200 res.
I know xbox doesn't support higher res then 1080 but anyone know why it doesn't want to go that res.

Thanks for the help.

I had the same problem with the composite blocking the HD plug. I removed the plastic off the composite plug completely and it was fine.

Or you can buy audio cable adapter for xbox like this :
