MK802-Android-PC.jpg

Comes with a 5 volt plug in PSU, mini USB to USB adaptor, mini USB to USB cable, mini HDMI to HDMI cable. Has 2 USB ports, I attached USB keyboard to one and USB mouse to another. I also fitted an 8Gb SD card into the slot.
Powered it up, "android" appeared on screen for 1 minute and desktop appeared.

Plenty of icons on the desktop and just ran through the configuration, date, time, location, etc and tried some of the Apps. Play store and Google store both there. Desktop is identical to other Android devices I have seen. If you use a HDMI to VGA adaptor with audio out, there is sound from the audio port.

Size is 150 x 40 x 25mm. Cost was $79.00 incl shipping from Chinese supplier

Was an article here which showed price of R 1100 http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/435413-Android-4-0-Mini-pc-on-a-stick-Thumbdrive-sized-PC

That looks really cool!

Anyway to network it using wifi to a home network?

Edit: I saw a wifi version on the site

What kind of video does it output? I'm quite interested in this if it can do 1080, but I doubt it.

I got one of these when they came out.
1080p plays nicely but choppy due to it being Wi-Fi and I have lots of wireless devices around me.

I got a Bluetooth keyboard for it, but it would not work.
I got a USB/Ethernet adapter for it, but it would not work.

A future update was supposed to fix my problems above but have not checked yet. Device in the cupboard somewhere now.

slightly OT, but can anyone explain the difference in price to me?

Same tablet, but it costs basically $63 less at ali-express, both with free shipping. Not sure if I'm missing something?

It seems all products from a specific supplier called "Think Li" is super cheap on ali-express so i don't think it would be trustworthy.
At +-R240 for that tab, you can maybe give it a try and if it actually works out give us feedback.

might end up just doing that, will contact the supplier first and see if they actually respond. If they do, I'll give it a bash

Just saw this on the aliexpress site, under the buyer protection page

"Your money is safe from scammers because we only release your funds to the seller AFTER you confirm satisfactory delivery of your order"

"Full Money Back Guarantee. If your delivery is late We will give you a FULL REFUND if your order does not arrive within 60 days."

With this device do you have access to the Google Apps store?

Hi Mike
Don't suppose would you like to sell the device to me?
If so how much would you want for it?
Thanks
Greg
