My old Mega 105WR dropped the wireless connection a few days ago so today I went to the Telkom office to get it changed. No such luck but they sold me a router. It's a Netgear DG834GUv5. Setup from CD worked fine, am connected with both, the wired and the wireless computers, without any problems. But now whn I try to get to the http://10.0.0.2 it wantsme to type in a password. The sales guy in Telkom offfice said it's all just the same as with my old router but again ... no joy. Where and how do I find out what my password is???

According to the manual on Telkom's site (pg 17) use:

Username: admin
Password: admin

How about checking the manual instead of asking the "sales guy"? Or the Netgear website?

the generic credentials (username/password) for most routers are:
admin/admin
admin/password
admin/

As above. In the event that you received a refurbished or already used router, then you can always reset it to factory settings using the pinhole button (refer to the manual).
