The timing of this is pretty interesting. Julias "Mamparra" Malema starts mouthing off about land reform and government begin start putting together new committees to "analyse" the situation. Mamparra hops off to Zim, who coincidently performed the same "audits" before their supposed reform began, and comes back mouthing off even louder about land reform and nationalisation. Bang, the government now decide that an audit is necessary. Begs the question, who's really calling the shots in the presidency? And is Mamparra really heading off to these "learning seminars" in his capacity as ANCYL president, or is th presidency not actually sending him off for their own agenda?

It all sounds a bit conspiratorial innit? And at the risk of sounding paranoid I think I agree with your analysis! The progression of events certainly seems to point at what you are describing! :erm:

This is to answer a question Fudzy asked the other day regarding munipipal and state owned land

A lot of it is arable but I don't think that they want land to farm on, there is enough land to give some people a piece of land build a house and do some subsistence farming on.

Go to the town planner in your area and ask them to show you the fast tracks of land they own and then ask yourself if it should be earmarked for a shopping centre, sports field ... Or to alleviate the housing problem and the desire for a piece oof land - they will choose the shopping centre for profits.

Now I am one of those nasty racist types BUT I understand the want to own a piece of land to call your own, I just think that blaming farmers is wrong since they are their to feed the people.

And that the government should stop blaming a small community and rather sacrifice some personal profits and help the people who voted/ votes for them

We have all ready become a major grain importer where we used to export grains.

As for the land owned by government officials - we will never know but I believe that it is a lot

Land has always been the prize for the "struggle" and the masses are getting impateint boer land has been what they have had their eye on always hence the kill the boer song, even if the farmers all only had a 5 by 5sqm piece they will want to take it away
