how is this game ? doesn't really look like a FPS in the sense of quake style play more like something in the direction of 3-D syndicate or some man squad action...

I've played it for a little bit so far. It seems quite fun with pretty straight forward gameplay ( I have little patience for complicated games). Nice graphics too. Problem is COD4 has more of my attention now.

I have a gripe with the creators though. COD4 manages to look awesome and run super smooooth straight off the bat yet with the auto selected video settings on GOW, it stalls and stutters like a mo fo. Even turned down to crappier settings theres problems.
Plus is takes up 10gigs, wtf!!!

microsoft must have programmed it with the same efficiency as a windows release. U suck! Go learn something from Activision.
 
As far as ive read its an awesome game. Will definately be getting it! But will def also get COD4, and then there's crysis. Damn so many games to play, and im not realy even a FPS type of guy :p

Regrettably we're not clairvoyant - please contact a mod directly in the future either via PM or by using the report bad post facility. :)

Have you installed the patch? That seems to have sorted my stuttering issues out.
 
Its the same as the X360 version but with some extra chapters and online COOP play, pity you cant find too many online players as its really a good tactical squad game. :)

just wondering it its actually good game to have since it seems not really a fps but something in the top down control-a-guy in 3d mode without the real fps interaction but similar...

..but i do tend to get it maybe - all hype making me feel i need it heheeh
 
So i finally got myself a GOW from btgames... wow what a game, i must say its just plain awesome. finally something that's more than just a tech demo, more than just looks, more than just another pc shooter- hell even the cutscenes are worth looking at.

I'm truly enjoying the game, was well worth the buy.

Microsoft is not bringing out the sequel to their biggest game on their most popular platform Windows. The amount of windows copies legal and less than legal :p out there is mind-boggling! Wow what a business model they have they're! Genius!

they concentrated more on making these fancy stickers that you can lick and stick onto your TV-game console, trust me - the kids go mad for this stuff and Microsoft is making a killing selling these stickers!

dunno what i'm talking about? get one and be cool!!!

U really need to get your Facts Straight

U are complaining about a 10 gig game when there are already 14 and 16gig games floating around ! Buy a bigger harddrive.

Secondly MS didnt program gears of war for the pc and neither did Epic, The pc port of gears was outsourced to people that fly which is a subsidiary of Epic Games. The PC port was regarded as a very good port BTW

Thirdly if the game stutters then upgrade ur pc cause there are thousands of people that play the game on average rigs without any problems.
 
Got it. Loved it. Played it through twice. The second playthrough I played with a gamepad just to see what it would be like if I was playing it on console. Went back to keyboard and mouse before I even finished the first act.
 
I've finished it twice before on the XBOX (on Casual and Hardcore). I'm busy with my third playthrough on Insane and I'm currently on Act 3. I'm aiming at filling up all the single-player achievements! :p
 
meh...played it for a good 13 minutes and decided to stop..

gears 2 looks good though.

playing on hardcore; easy would be too easy so its either hardcore or insane....hardcore for the first run :D
