Hi guys,

I'd be very grateful if you could recommend a great GP in Centurion that also accepts medical aid.

I've noticed that there are lots and lots of GPs in this area, working from bigger healthcare centers or hospitals, but I'd like to go to a recommended/tried and tested/more knowledgeable doctor. I'm going for help with an auto-immune disease, not just the flu :)

Been to Medipark in the past, seen 2 different drs, but I'd rather not go back there.

Many thanks.

You rather see a specialist for an autoimmune disease as the average GP knowledge with this is limited.

Thank you.

tRoN yeah I've already been diagnosed, so I need management which a good GP can do. Specialists cost thousands for each visit and I don't have it. Plus I'd like to find a good GP that doesn't treat you as yet another number, to just be our family GP.

Ok makes sense.
What condition do you have?

Try Dr. Potgieter at Southdowns Medical Centre. He is quite old school, like I remember doctor's visits from when I was young - proper examinations and not just quick prescriptions like some of the younger GP's seem to be doing. I can quite comfortably recommend him.

Also the doctors at the NHC next to Grey Owl shopping centre (Brakfontein) are brilliant and I have noticed that their claims to medical aid are more reasonable compared to other doctors
