GPRS info PLEASE :confused:

Hi All

Great web site and forum.

I need some info on how the cell phone company’s GPRS systems work.
I heard some people say if you transmit to a network you do not pay you only pay if you receive.

The reason why I sit in a area where we can not get any ADSL, or even a proper Telkom analog line. But we have ok GPRS coverage.

Does any body know what the cost is for the GPRS Transmitting as we only want to view some info on the web? We do not want to do any thing that will receive any data or packets.

I will appreciate any info as we can not get any info from the cell phone networks.

you cannot view a website without receiving data.

you pay for whatever you send and receive over GPRS at R2/Mb. you can also buy bundles that brings the cost down a bit.
