GPRS packet loss

I'm pinging a local servers (various networks) from my phone. I'm getting average around 10% packet loss. Running on Class 10 (3r2t).

Is this normal for GPRS?

Oh also how can we check what encoding system in a particular area? (I'm currently in Tamboorskloof, CPT).

Depends what phone you have. If you have a 6600, 6630 or 6680 Nokia, try this :

It works for Vodacom as well...
