GPRS roaming in Namibia

Does anybody know how international data roaming is supposed to work in Namibia? I phoned MTN and they said it should be seamless from SA but it isn't.

I am connecting on a laptop using bluetooth to a Nokia 6680. My GPRS and 3G work fine in SA but not in Namibia. I have the little G icon but it won't connect, gets to verifying username and password and then just says unable to connect.

Any help would be appreciated

maybe they dont offer gprs on there networks there????

MTC Namibia (the only provider there) do offer GPRS and I get GPRS reception

It is possible that MTC and MTN do not have a GPRS roaming agreement between them!

It is very possible that MTN doesn't have a roaming agreement for GPRS with them but will find out for you.

Hi, MTN does have a roaming agreement with MTC and the problem should be resolved now. Please do reply if it is not working.

Thanks I should be in Namibia again towards the end of Feb. I will check again then.
