Hi there

I am using an IPAQ and a nokia 6600. I cannot dial up because the IPAQ defaults to +0 then the number that i added *99# or any derivatives such as *99***5# etc. What is the solutuion?

P.S My 6600 and the IPAQ see each other fine and want to dial up but brings up a message that the number has no dial tone.

Hi ash,

When you setup the connection info, change the country code to 27 and area code to what ever area you are in. Click next and finish. Click Ok to go back to the Connections tab. Now go to the Dialing locations tab. Click the dialing Patterns button. Change this info according to your settings and the key on your iPAQ. This is where you can set it to remove the +0 44 etc. I just set all my values to G (number only) and its now trying to dial *99***5#

The 'no dial tone' setting is under the Connection. Open your connection by clicking the modify button, click next next and remove the tick next to Wait for dial tone before dialing.

hi there

it worked fine when i had my T610 connected to it. no local or int number, 27 31. but with the 6600 its problematic.

is it possible to go through the settings step by step, if you have the time. or is it the 6600 thats a prob here.

Im using an iPAQ h1910 with PPC 2002, so the settings are most probably different. The main change which should make a difference for you is the Dialing Patterns. Play around with that and see if it makes any better
