Hi there,

I would like to purchase a GPS unit that can be used by personnel when they go to site. Which model (preferably Garmin ?) has the ability to to track where the person has been ? is this what is meant by "breadcrumbs" ? Additionally, can the data be exported and viewed on Google earth for example ?

Thanks in advance

Even if a standard gps device logs the routes they should be to able clear logs or just switch it off when they don't want to be logged. have a look at ctrack.

TCOFRAN, take a look at www.x-drive.co.za I have a few of these units in my fleet. The beauty of this is that you don't have to be bound to a 24/36 month contract! There is a prepaid option where you just buy the airtime.

Login as a guest user on that site and you'll get an idea of the potential.

Regards
Mike
