Gps on laptop

I seriously doubt if your HTC will be able to do that. Your GPS device must have NMEA output to be able to do that. It mostly is the higher end GPS models such as the Garmin 60CSX that has NMEA output. Even if you connect one of the Garmin Nüvi series of street navigators to a laptop, you would not be able to do so. Should your HTC have NMEA output, you can make use of Garmin's Mobile PC application or make use of Garmin's nRoute software. The Mobile PC application will turn your computer into a large screen street navigator which is routable, and the nRoute will just show your location as a moving dot on the screen.
