GPS Software for non-Nokia phones

I have a Sony Ericsson C702.

It has a-GPS. At the moment it can use Google Maps, and Navigon.

I have purchased Garmin Mobile XT, and would like to use the software..

Is it compatible with the SE C702? If so, what other phones will work with the software?

I hate Navigon, because it has to download the maps, and so works out expensive... (Google Maps is the same)

Any help is greatly appreciated..

What version of Garmin Mobile XT did you buy ? I think it should run on UIQ SE phones.

I bought the UIQ I think, not the Symbian 60 ones...

Are you saying that the 702 is a Symbian UIQ - based phone?

According to http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_c702-2251.php I do not think the C702 is a UIQ phone. But I'll see what I can find. Garmin Mobile XT is AFAIK only for Symbian and WinMo based phones.

I read up some more on this and it seems a lot op people are asking the same question as you. From what I deduct the C702 is not a Symbian based phone (I guess A200 based) but it does have Java support so you can try Amaze GPS. I have it on my N82 and it is pretty good for a Java solution.
