I am looking for a reputable GPS tracker to put on my daughter in case she runs off. She is 2.5 years old. It should be possible to attach it around her like a belt, but preferably a small wristwatch. Naturally it must have a SIM card which works with an app so we can see where she is in case she is lost. It does not need to have a super long battery life so it can be quite small.

Probably not an Apple user, our kids don't just "run off"... :p

But not actually a bad idea given the prevalence of iPhones and, since last year, you can [finally] share airtag locations.

Airtag / other BT crowdsourcing (or whatever it is called) won't work, we have a garden out in the rural area and there are little to no other iPhone users around. It must be 100% GPS & GSM.

my daughter had one ,she used to remove it and drop it into the water feature .none have great battery life i found .you get units that work with a base station and warn you if wet or out of range
