GPU for 2000

I'm looking for a new graphics card. Is there anything better than the 4850 in the 2000-2500 price range at the moment?
 
Current reviews suggest that the 4850 is the best card in that price range.

The card is comparable to the Geforce 9800GTX and this card cost more than R2500

Bull. I bought the Inno3D 9800GTX+ from Prophecy for R2300. And that's better than the HD4850.
 
Defuct depends on the make, the HIS iceQ and Sapphire Toxic 4850 are easily the best in their range

I could be wrong but didnt prices on PC hardware such as GFX increase a while ago?

Te 98GTX+ should be more than that now...though if u can get it at that price the GTX+ is better than the 4850...mostly with AA off :p

You can't get it at that price anymore. The Inno3d's at prophecy were very well priced but they're gone now afaik. It's also not always better than the 4850.
 
4850 is a really great card, I'm loving mine. I used to be very skeptical of ATI cards but this one is outstanding. Crysis Warhead on max at 30fps no problem. What more do you want?
 
Sounds like it will be the 4850 then. I see that 9800gtx+ is still on prophecy for 2300, but i think i'll take the 4850 anyway. It's at pcint for 2000 + 14% = 2280 i see. Thanks
