What could be causing this?
I have cleaned the whole inside of the case with compressed air, nothing is running in background that I can see unless perhaps a virus or something else.
Any ideas?

Can you perhaps post a screenshot of Task Manager's Processors tab and the Performance tab?

Hit Ctrl, Alt and Del to access the Task Manager.

AddInProcess.exe is a Microsoft .Net Framework process, and has probably crashed.

Does it do this after a restart? Try see if there are Windows Updates available (mine downloaded a .Net frawork update this morning).

It's probably a corrupt .Net file.

Thanks, I see you cannot delete it either, will try re install it

Also upload the file to https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload for scanning. It's not unusual for a legit process to be infected.

Definitely, he should run it through virus total to confirm.

Looks like it could be Red Line Stealer malware, this is a pretty nasty piece of work.
Avast forum had someone infected with it

In the OP case looks like it's mining crypto with his GPU, probably gathering credentials as well.

RedLine Stealer is capable of gathering information such as logins, passwords, autofill data, cookies and credit card details from all Gecko-based and Chromium-based web browsers. Cyber criminals can misuse this information to access various accounts (e.g., social media, email, banking-related accounts, cryptocurrency wallets).

Furthermore, it is capable of collecting system information such as IP addresses, usernames, keyboard layouts, UAC settings, installed security solutions, and other details. This malicious program can be used to infect computers with other malware (download and execute malicious files).
