Is a low profile RX460 too much to ask for?
It looks like the low profile market is neglected of late.
Yes, I'm seeing mini cards which is cool but they're still double-wide (2 slots).

MSI has expanded their GTX 15050 Ti line-up with a Low-profile graphics card which might be handy in a small form factor HTPC. The card remains dual-slot as it does need a bit of cooling and has two 50mm spinners.
The card itself feeds completely from the motherboard, so there is no need for an external power connector. The MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4GT clocks in at a 1290 MHz core, 1392 MHz GPU Boost, and 7.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory. It has been fitted with 4 GB of VRAM. You will spot a DVI, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort connector (1.4). Pricing has not been shared, but expect it to sit in the 159 USD / 150 Euro range.

It's still a dual slot card which is an issue.
Hey guys
Thought I'd post in here first before creating a new thread.
Has anyone had any experience with the Galax HOF cards? I'm going to do an incremental upgrade from my 1070 to a 1080 and was really looking at the HOF card, but my google-fu seems weak. I cannot find any reviews for the card.
Any tales of woe I need to know, or was it plain sailing?
Firstly thanks for the link..... I tried doing another search and still can't find this review
With no offense though, would you consider this a trusted review site? I know the numbers shouldn't be far off anyways, but more just for future reference for me.
I have no idea. Never read a review on this site.

Nothing wrong with Galax, their HOF cards are for serious OCing enthusiast and they set world records on these things so the design is very good.
Also have a look at the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 AMP Extreme, it's another beast of a card.
That is the other option. I could readily find reviews on the Zotac, but almost nothing on the Galax.
Should there be any preference between those two brands?

Sorry looks like my edit above was too slow, warranty 3yr Zotac vs 2yr Galax. Also looks like the Zotac is slightly faster and the Galax does not seem to have silent 0 rpm fan operation but runs a bit cooler than the Zotac.

The HOF cards are beasts. Really well made and solid. Its almost a 3 slot design.
^, the Black Friday teaser email from Wootware has a picture of a Galax 1080 HOF...talk about kismet.
Yip, check midnight tonight!
I think around R1500 is a good price, and if no one bites, drop it by R100.Good evening good people. How much could I sell a MSI R9 270 Gaming for? R1400?
I see that AMD may have cut GCN 1.0 support, meaning it is the end to supporting AMD cards up to the R9 280X. This is rumoured as AMD have made no statement to date.
AMD is releasing their next big driver update tomorrow? The speculated driver which is a unity driver bringing GCN support together into one Crimson package. It is believed that these cards, the R9 Fury, R9 390s, R9 380s, R9 290s, R9 285s, R9 260s, R7 360s, and R7 260s will be tied into the 400 series.
A new addition to the older generation is WattMan support and AMD is bring an Shadowplay competitor into the mix, ReLive and something called Chill. More will be made known tomorrow…
