I have setup routesentry for international and local. Can dial into both(openweb is my service provider local. Telkom for int.) I cannot seem to connect to the server with Grabit. Is there any other free program you guys can recommend.

Another thing, I seem to be able to browse International .com sites when i am logged onto local. Is this normal.

Thats probably because you have one of the 1GB int/9GB local or 1GB int/29GB local accounts im guessing.

Grabit is probably the best free reader, there are others you can buy but as far as free goes its grabit.

I use 2 different providers, 1gb Telkom and 30gb Openweb local.

There have been a few reports on people using local only accounts and getting some int bandwidth. Have never actually checked mine. for what its worth my grabit works fine with routesentry and local/int accounts.
It would probably be worthwhile chatting to the lads on newshost.za.net to see what they think.

newbie alert...
Uh Oh!

If use 30gb Openweb local, do u still have access to usenet?
Will I still be able to download from the Telkom news server?

It's too early to decipher your post. But it sounds alot like you have two ISP's there. So just make sure you set it up that they work independentlly. Then when your 30Gig local runs out, you can still use your Telkom 1Gig

Don't Openweb have some sort of OpenBrowse thing (No downlaods tho)
It will be slow tho

@alf101

Yes you can, but only on IS with the openweb 30GB, the do level 2 will work for saix.

Stoke fielded a very plausible explanation: Maybe they had to open a small intl pipe so that local gaming can authenticate with the international servers.

@conspirator

That would rock if they have that ability, would let me play BF2 online local without having to use route sentry etc!

getting international on your local only account is only temporary. Lasts maybe a day, 2 if you are lucky. Im not sure why they allow for international bandwidth on new or reset accounts. But everyone at the beginning of the month, when their accounts have been reset, make good use of it.

Indeed, speed isn't the only issue. I'd just love it if NZB's had better error-correction. PAR's are useful, but aren't always enough. Torrents require you to upload and download, but it works. NZB's might require you to download all that extra data, and it still might not be enough. I use Alt.Binz, and that doesn't download just the missing/damaged blocks, which would be enough, I'm forced to download entire parts if I they are damaged.

Is there any better NZB downloaders?

Hi Rocket-Boy,

I'm still trying to fiqure out what is going on with OpenWeb with the Local Accounts.

The last few days of the month normally, i can download and browse int with my 30GB local only account and when i got my local account this month; i downloaded a crap load of stuff int. (30GB + 4Mbps):D:D:D:D:D:D

So yeah, i havent been going int again... doesnt wanna allow me, but i always keep on tryin... hehe
