Can someone pm me instructions on using grabit please? I can't seem to get the server going correctly, guidance would be appreciated :)
 
where might I download that? (local please - capped atm T.T)

Local, I joined nbza.co.za and I got the .nbz file... but it's creating a server I have problems with... it sounds so n00bish but yeah. Or is the creation of a server unnecessary?

Thanks hashbrown99, but it's the actual server lol - I was trying to be discreet but ah well :)

Do you want a screenshot of the server settings (in Grabit)?
 
wait it's dl - but there are 3 dl bars for one file is this correct?

How long does it take usually to dl a file? does it work in the same way as torrents in that if you closed the app and reopened it the dl would resume?
 
you should see it at least start downloading. What news server you dowloading from? Bear in mind that for last week of the month all news.saix server gets hit hard by everyone and its sometimes almost impossible to connect.

nzbsa.co.za - it does dl but there are like 3 different dl bars for one file. Is this correct?

If I close GrabIt will the dl resume when I reopen the app again?
 
Can't vouch for grabit as I use altbinz which does resume. I'm pretty sure grabit would support resuming in this day and age.

Sounds like its opening multiple threads to download the file. Altbinz does that as well.

As long as you see it downloading and there's progress on the green bars then it should be working.

As for how long - depends on your speed line and the size of the file. If your downloading say xyz.iso due to the size of it and that messages can only be a certain size, the program will download multiple rar files, like 1.rar, 2.rar etc etc.

Each .rar file is made up from multiple message posts so you might see downloading...1.rar..... part 1/45

Once 45 parts (messages) have been download the file is automatically converted and saved as 1.rar

Once everything is completed you will need to auto unrar all the files to get the xyz.iso (Altbinz can also do this automatically)
