Grand Theft Auto V Online

Slum it. LOL

I have $2m in the bank, yeah it is low in comparison to others.
Apartment
Meth Business
Weed Business
Bunker
Office
Club
Motorcycle Club
+/- 10 cars
+/- 5 motorbikes

Don't know many people in real life that can say the same. I am just having fun, that is what gaming should be.

If you're having fun then obviously I'm happy for you. But that doesn't help me missing what the game used to be.

I just checked my Social Club profile and my character has lifetime earnings of $2.3bn. The current bank balance is $18.6m and my undeposited cash is $484k (gives you an idea of how freely money used to flow). Rank is 150 and total playtime is 20 days and 10 hours.

If your $2m balance is typical of your gameplay, how exactly can you afford the stuff in the game? The yacht, the hypercars, the cost of vehicle upgrades, the insanely expensive wacky vehicles they started to add shortly before I bailed out etc. balanced against (what were last I played) pretty meagre earnings from the club and office activities. I have a bunker and the vehicles for it but didn't really play any of the military stuff. By this stage I had already more or less abandoned the game and was only checking in now and again to buy the new content.

Granted, I've wasted plenty of money on vehicles and vehicle upgrades that weren't possible to keep due to garaging restraints at the time and on properties that were eventually abandoned, but even if we halve the amount of money I've spent, how does a current player earn over a billion dollars? Even the better paying club activities took forever to complete, severely impairing the earnings per hour. Almost all my money came from regular game activities before the businesses even existed and before earnings were nerfed heavily.

What platform are you guys on? I used to play a shite ton of GTA Online on Xbox One, before my dog chowed my f-ing remote. Haven't been on much in a few months though but still have it installed on my PC.

Just like real life, you don't have to buy every vehicle you see.

Grand Theft Auto is supposed to be the opposite of real life.

I don't have >10 cars IRL. I don't go around killing my neighbours and strangers IRL. I don't fly helicopters/planes/jets IRL. Etc etc

If you can afford all the cars and other shit within the first week/month you would be bored of the game. That is my take on it.

I did three weed drops in <30 minutes, on my own (3 different helicopters), and made $117,000. Not bad I think.

I'm saying you couldn't afford it after any reasonable period of time. 20 days of play time is 480 hours.

We started playing recently and although it is a bit of a grind, we were able to purchase most of the things, now waiting for the casino before I buy my yacht, which is useless apart from the fact that you have one haha! Currently have just over $10mil that we made in the last week or so

I reinstalled GTA V to check out what's happening these days with GTA Online. It's the first big game I've installed since upgrading my line to 200Mbps. 80+GB in an hour was quite impressive.

You can't do anything in the Casino in SA because online gambling is illegal.

This is retarded, if R* really wanted to do something about this they should have made is so that shark card money can only be used to buy certain things such as the cars, buildings and clothes then people can grind and use normal money in the casino.

Guess ill have to use a VPN to germany.
