Hi

I'm looking at implementing such a backup strategy at the company.

Any of you guys/girls out there who managed to get it working, and how?

If you had to recover data, was it successful?

Regards

Libs

That is a pretty standard rotation.
Pretty simple to do if i am thinking of the same method. Eg. - Daily incrementals mon - thurs (son set), full backup on Friday (Father set), full backup monthly (Grandfather set).

I am planning to impliment a cracked version of the above stated acronis back up solution on our network , please may you guys let em know if any of you have used it before and if there are any known issues with it :D:love:

You're going to install cracked software on an office network?

Your job's on the line, not mine..

Why not try and a program called bacula..its free and its very stable...

+1

Have them purchase the legit copy rather.

If there's issues restoring, who you gonna call with a cracked version?

With a legit version, you can ask their helldesk for support etc.

Using Windows here.

This chart here shows that there is support for Windows, however :

The are reported to work in many cases and the Community has committed code for them. However they are not directly supported by the Bacula project, as we don't have the hardware.

I'd rather use what I know is working 100%, and not something which might be working. Data might restore, or it might not... and I don't want to take that chance until I have tested it fully.
