Grannys phone

I need a phone for 75 yr old granny. She was previously using a nokia e72.

She only uses it for calling sms and Gmail.

Ease of use and big font sizes are needed. What are the options.

Someone recommend the nokia lumia the 630. Ia there anything decent with a physical keypad?

Just give her a touch screen and change the keyboard layout, touch is intuitive, I've seen 90 year olds using it perfectly, just make sure the screen is large.

Ordered my mom one a while back when it was the older version of the phone.
Service is great and the phone is not too expensive either. just over a grand.

Another option is a cheap Android phone like the kicka from Vodacom and then buy the Big Launcher app from the Google play store as the interface.

BlackBerry 9720 .It retails at R1999

If she needs a physical keyboard, BlackBerry is probably the way tho go.
Otherwise the Lumia 1320, its cheap and its huge. Besides that it outperforms 90% of all Android devices .

Issue with blackberry is the monthly BIS... I'd recommend a Lumia 630 or an android with the big launcher as recommended above

The Gobii is to small i would assume, and old people generally shake a little (or the ones I know atleast), the Gobii with its already rather pathetic digitizer i cant see it working.
