Graphic card brand names?

We have a number of brand names available to us in the GeForce 8 range of cards, Asus, Chaintech, Gigabyte, Gainward, Leadtek, Msi, and XFX and there is often a significant price difference between some of them.

Question : What is the order of quality from bad to good or good to bad on these brand names? or is there really that much difference? if any?

dont think there is any difference ... can also get the reference Nvidia one from DELL ... which i have ...

Not much difference....Some come with bundled games and some have different cooling options...Otherwise go for the cheapest you can get!

Yes but they still clock out at the same speed as the cheaper ones. the exception being the gainward gold samples which are specifically selected but all the others which are slightly overclocked max out at the same speed so you are basically paying for something you can do yourself.

I'm not completely sure about all of those brands with these cards, but often the better brands use different (better) memory and their own custom cooling solutions, so overclocking and general performance will be better. Usually not worth the money you pay though...

Most have vanilla models and then factory overclocked models of the same card, so check for that.

8 series from nvidia no company is better or worse in all other series i would say that there would be better companies but not in the 8 series

Ja, thats what I've heard too.

The overclocking story is pretty funny, but you can usually push those cards a bit higher than stock models because they often have better cooling. Also not voiding the warranty is useful.. but I doubt anyone buying gaming graphics cards don't "know how" to oc... I mean you download some application and move the sliders...
