My 3 year old card is better then the 6570 I wanted to get. You see this is why I asked.
True but those numbers are not that different... so for R1000 i'm not getting much of an upgrade, might as well spend R500 more
I'm in a similar position. Found the same thing. ~26% difference between specs. If you look at the 3dmark scores (double the score) though there was one measurement (texel rate I think) that jumped 230%, which I gather makes all the difference if you start doing heavy AA.Wow....

PC Recommended Specifications:
Windows Vista®/Windows® 7
Dual Core 2.4Ghz Processor
2 GB RAM
512 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 GTX or ATI Radeon® HD 3870 or better
*Note: Due to potential programming changes, the Minimum System Requirements for this game may change over time.
ye, but those are the recommended specs anyway. What they should have is a indication on what resolution they tested that spec.
From what I have proved, you can't run that spec on a 23'' on high.
So it seems like my Geforce 9800 GTX is about to kill over. Anybody knows where I can get a 6850 for around that price?Qwikslver: that is quite expensive for the HD6850.
Here's an MSI HD6850 OC 1GB card for R1499: http://www.wootware.co.za/msi-radeon-hd6850-1gb-pci-e-graphics-card-retail.html
* Unfortunately it is out of stock.
