so you guys helped me out last time, so help me out this time

I got a crap pentium4 a 1.6, with 256 ram and a 80 gig harddrive, and a crap NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 with 64 mb ram.
would like to start playing games with it, so my question is is it worth getting a new graphic card, or should i scrap the lot and by a new pc?

Thanks

Yes better to cut your losses now and start building that dream pc.

If you decide to upgrade only your graphics card now chances are that you will have to upgrade the rest in the very near future and if your mobo doesnt support pci-e graphics and still have the old AGP slot you will have to replace that graphics card you bought also in the near future.

So best to start with the best you can afford now and work your way up.

er wait a minute, why not new motherboard, RAM and gfx card, then build up as you go but at least you can game with it for now?

There arent many PCI-E mobos that can take 478 CPUs and chances are because its a 1.6 its one of those that came before 478, cant remember how many pins they had tho
