hopefully heaven but probably hell
I recently found R20 000 or something like that in one of my pockets so obviously i want to buy a new machine...

I'm pretty happy with pc international as a supplier however they seem to stock unusual GFX card manufacturer's. I am wondering if any of you can help me establish the quality of the following brands:

XFX vs Legend.

I know they carry the same specs and ultimately have the same GPU in them... but yeah just a general feeling.

I will prolly get something along these lines:

Geforce 8800GTS 320MB 320-Bit DDR3 Dual DVI SLi- XFX XXX Edition

also thoughts about this m/b:
[M2NE-SLI] - ASUS AMD Socket AM2, nForce 4 SLI, 2000MT/s, 4xDual DDRII, 2xPCIx16, 2xPCIx1, 2xPCI, 2xATA133, 4xSATAII(Raid 0,1 0+1,5), Gbe Lan, 6ch-Sound, Max 10xUSB, ATX

I like Asus cuz they have been good to me before :)

XFX isnt unusual, if Frontosa and Axiz stock them, then they must be OK.

I dont know much about legend because the only ones I know about came through that other "person"...

XFX is a well known brand. Legend is cheap stuff afaik.

Since neither are really manufacturers it doesn't make a difference. Nvidia is the manufacturer. The difference in price between the 2 has to do with legend only putting the must have cables in the box while XFX gives an game and the cables. Had this between in the US I would say go with XFX because of the double life time warranty but since here in sunny SA we only get the 1 year warranty it doesn't make a difference.

Go for the legend one.

I thought the Asus M2NE was a NForce 500 board? Other than that it looks good, I was planning to get one, except that I didn't need SLI.

On the mobo. I like Asus. The only brand I would pick above them is DFI. No problems with asus mobo's ever.
