I'm looking for a semi decent graphics card on a strict budget. I'm a casual gamer so anything more would be a waste. Had my eye on the Powercolor HD7850 from Wootware for R1999, but they are out of stock.
The Asus, Sapphire etc are all closer to R2400. Is there anything else in that price range you could recommend? Hoping to be able to play GTA V if it comes out on PC, not too bothered if I have to run it at medium quality. What about the GTX650?

PC specs: Intel i5 - 3330, 8GB RAM, SSD, Antec 520C Eco Neo PSU.

Thanks anyway, will keep that one in mind.

Forgot to mention, my primary screen only runs at 1680x1050, if that makes much difference.

It definitely will make a bit of a difference. I am using a GTX 660 which could run ACIV on full on my 1440x900 screen; since upgrading to 1920x1200 I have to turn down some stuff.

A 256bit card will handle more anti-aliasing and larger textures compared to the 128bit card. Rather wait until stocks replenish and then get the HD7850 or by then you should be able to get the latest R9 270 for the same price with more oomph :D

You should research D3DOverDriver for some more FPS and eye candy without overclocking your card and having to drop resolutions ;)

256-bit graphics cards doesn't necessarily outperform 128-bit graphics cards! Just have a thorough look at benchmarks to compare, because that is the only real indication of how the performance difference would be like!
Otherwise you're saying a Pentium 4 running at 3.4GHz would outperform an i7 @ 3GHz.

Theoretically correct but my 192bit 550ti outperforms or is on par with the 650ti .
