Hi ppl, I hav a big problem, and I hope that it can be fixed. I have a 8800gtx, and when I put it in my pc and switch the pc oneverything just flashes for like a second and then nothing. When I take the gfx out it boots up perfectly. Is this graphics card still alive, or am I totally screwed?

What's the stats on your power supply? I think you'll need about 400W(?) with that gfx card. Also make sure to plug in all the power on the gfx card as required.

I got a brand new Aopen Quad rail 700watt today, and all of the plugs are in.
I used to run it on a Aopen 400watt with a Gigabyte GA K8NP SLi and a 4800+. WHen I sold that I tried running it in a P4 3ghz with the same psu, and it worked. I left it running like that unsupervised for a while, and when I got back to it, that PC did exactly what the one I am running it in now is doing(just kind of shorting).

Try put in your old power supply to see if it works.

If it does then you know your new power supply is faulty.
