I'm thinking about getting a graphics card for Fusion 360. I've read that gaming cards are better than Quatro cards, but I like this Quatro card for it's low power consumption, small form factor and available ports. It doesn't even need it's own power cable.

Are there any gaming cards with similar features, or are they all garish power hogs with 40 inch fans and firetruck lights and sirens?

Thanks.

^, the 1050 Ti will also give you about 80% more horsepower going by the respective 3D Mark scores with similar power consumption.

Aren't the all the same?

Yeah, that's not acceptable. Is there anywhere to find specs on this?

I don't even know if you would find a two fan 1050Ti - remember its a tiny graphics card. The fan only has to dissipate 70W of heat, which is really nothing. Only a few watts less and you wouldn't even need a fan.

I was quoted R72000 for Nvidia Quadro 5000 2.5gb card today. Our drawing office are insisting on this card for some reason. Surely a GeForce 1080 will be better ?

They use Magma on this PC

Are you in SA?

If yes then you might as well get it locally as the cheapest twin fan is $150 and the amazon price with 10-14day shipping is R2555
