hello
my prevously busted 9800gt works:D

but im buying a gtx260
so now i got a 9800gt lying there
get another 9800gt and SLI?

i can afford the 1k gap between the gtx260 and 9800gt

but gtx260 would be better
but then wat do i do with my 9800?
physx or something?

cant sell coz it fell 3m onto a concrete floor

How'd it fall??
Yup use it as a dedicated physx's card , you have a motherboard with two pci-express slots?

Sorry to hijack the thread somewhat, but how do I check my system information to find out how much of dedicated graphics (in MB/GB) my machine is running?

I have bought a card that says 512MB DDR3 on the box, but it shows up as 1024MB on every other system info within Display properties.

I want to see if my graphics is dedicated and not shared.

Thanks.

Sorry again for the semi-hijack.

Edit: it's an ATI Radeon gfx card

ATi = Crossfire; NVIDIA = SLI

 :D

OBVOUSLY
my motherboard is gonna support crossfire for that id need 2 ati cards which i dont
and how will i SLI a 9800gt and gtx260 together?

wat i ment is that its ironic that i got 2 nvidia cards in a board ment for 2 ati card :p

GTX 260 as the primary card. 9800GT for PhysX. Then play the Unreal Tournament 3 PhysX mod and look at all the floaty particles.

Ooooh... Gotcha :D Carry on then :p

Your motherbaord needs to support SLI. If its only says it can crossfire you are going to run into issues. But, if you are going to use the second cad purely for physx, then you dont need the SLI bridge connector at all. So then it should work since you are not really doing SLI
