How's everyone?

I'm sitting here on my porch and going through Facebook and see a post about Gillette Fusion Blades going for R900.

Now and again, I check on the prices of items there and WOW, how are you guys managing?? I'm not even looking at the tech items but just the everyday essentials.

Have salaries or wages gone up with the prices of goods?

How much is petrol? Here I complain when our petrol goes above $2.29 which is allot.

Cheers for now!

It's hell in the streets,we are all living hand to mouth, fighting off the zombies as our salaries crumbled.
R900 seems to be rather high, highest I found with a quick google was R799 for 12? But yeah things did skyrocket

I found a pack of 8 for R599, seriously though do people actually spend that amount of money on razor blades? That's just crazy.

send some weetbix and ill send a dollar lol

The facebook post did show a few comparisons and yeah we looking at around R700+- for blades but damn man even that is flippin high.

I remember that blades were one of the most stolen items from stores and now we know why, they more expensive then the actual razor itself.

Good grief, that is hellishly expensive. No way I could buy blades at that price.

Good to hear from you Wayne. I read this morning that supply of gas/fuel in the US is tight at the moment. Hope your prices don't go up too much further.

Wow that it ridiculously expensive. Its times like these that Im glad I use a straight razor.
But yeah other than those, everything is more expensive lately, inflation is an absolute joke in SA.

thanks guys. yeah i been off for like 7 years now hey.

Her the gas prices change almost weekly. My wife gave me her car when she got a another one but i still dont drive but can pull it in and out of the driveway when needed, lol baby steps. When I was working (quit in december after 6yrs), and did put gas in, I was paying about $2.19 but I assume its up above $2.30 something depending the area.

But what about your daily essential food items?

Bread prices above R10
butter above R10
etc etc etc

No self-respecting man should be giving Gillette their money.

Also, do yourself a favour and try a proper razor. Once you've experienced the smoothness of a double-edge safety razor, it's hard to go back. Way cheaper in the long run too.

Yeah I just have my barber cut me up, cost still comes in less than what they ask for those blades.

I bought a bunch a couple of years ago when it was on sale. Then I realised that shaving is for suckers and that real men have beards. Now I have around 10 unused , 7+ years old Fusion blades in the cupboard. My wife started using them.

Anyway:
Eskort Streaky bacon - R35ish
Butter - R70 / 500g I think? There was a bunch of prices, so I don't remember which one worked out cheapest.
Bliss yogurt - R30/L on special.
Mince I still buy on sale at around R75/kg for lean mince.

Petrol is under R17 a litre, but I work from home, so meh.
Well, got to buy that muscle car while petrol is still cheap.
