I recently purchased the ITrip Auto. This plugs into my car lighter and charges the Ipod and transmits an fm frequency to play through the radio. It retails at R799 at Dion wired. It also has a built in smart scan which searched for the 3 best channels to transmit on.
All in all it is a great product. The only damn problem is that in Johannesburg there are really no clear channels to broadcast on. This is really irritating considering the price of the unit.
I did read about clear channels on earlier posts but have tried all those channels and still no luck. I also read about how to boost the signal strength on the old ITrips but am not willing to take apart a fairly more expensive unit.
Could anyone assist with some help in this regard. Any help would be really appreciated.
