Hey guys, hope this is in the right section.

So basically I want to get better earphones for gym. Currently I use my old BlackBerry earphones.

I don't want to spend 500 buks on something as silly as earphones and then I remember I had Griffin something earphones in 2007 when I bought my Ipod the original one.

I paid R129 which was pretty sweet but now I don't see any shops selling them.

Does anyone know where I can buy Griffin ?

Or something similar?

I have those Philips ones and I use them during workouts. I purchased them about 2 years back and they are still going strong. The sound is great. Not too bass heavy but solid mid and treble which is more like the Sony's. Durability wise I can't fault them. So for R100, you won't get any better and I prefer them to the Skullcandy Ink'd.

Awesome! Man thanks for the advice !

My music wil be one of two things.

Weight Training - Rammstein etc

Cardio - Trap Nation

I had a pair of those Philips ear phones as well. It's good but I prefer the previous one (because it can handle deeper bass), im not sure of the model number but it is black with a brown ring on each phone.

I need a little base yes. Any suggestions

The only problem I have in-ear earphones though is that it tends to slip out of your ear holes when you start sweating. I decided to buy a pair of SteelSeries headphones, but that is way over your budget.

The earphones that I was referring to (If bass is what you want):

I have this exact pair. I paid somewhere north of R1500. I can't remember the exact price.
Nice snug fit around the ears and exceptional sound quality.

But hey, the Philips is a good buy as well.

Yeah it has Dolby and all the bells and whistles but I use it for music when I code.
