Hi guys,

trying to help someone out, does anyone have this unit that has a manual or a link to a manual?

alternatively anyone that has serviced one of these that knows the basic requirements, i.e oil type and quanity, spark plug etc?

TIA

where did you guys get parts? i.e oil filter, air filter? is teh spark plug specialised? the oil (15W-40 from the manual) i assume is just standard SAE motor oil

Hi
My starter button is not working after 9 months. Does the general service that is required to be done, affect the starter? It is the electric start, how do have it repairer?

Check that your battery is not flat, it could need charging some of them don't charge the battery at all and some do not supply enough DC voltage to charge properly.

I decided that I am not paying R900 to replace a battery that only gets used twice per year when I do preventative maintenance. I simply use the pull start, 3 pulls and it's thumping away.

I always instead of just switching the gennie off closed the fuel tap and let the carburettor run dry till the engine stops. Then there is no residue that can gum up the carb so it starts perfectly after 3 or 4 pulls even if it is months later.
Usually the ladies want the battery start if they have to start the gennie...
