Hope this is the right forum :)

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a script or something that I can execute on a pc to automatically set different group policy settings?

Instead of running "gpedit.msc" and going through all the settings on each pc.

The easiest way is to create an AD server on your network to which your PCs are members and assigned to a specific group policy for each member or group of members.

I would recommend using Active Directory to assign group policy to machines and users.

You could however use the Windows NT 4 / Windows 95 System Policy Editor (which has limited of policies to set though compares to Windows 2000 and later) to create a .POL file, which you can just assign to each PC you wish to have the policies applied to.

You could also use Windows SteadyState (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/sharedaccess/default.mspx) to create a master set of policies and them export them to be imported on every other computer that you wish to have the same set of policies applied to. In a workgroup enviroment, this will probably be the best solution for you.

Hope this helps.

Edward

I think that would be better for me as I have never setup active directory before.
