I received a phonecall from a Cell C marketer today. This lady was offering me a Cell C contract and that my current cellphone number was selected and I would receive additional specials if I took out a casual chat contract with Cell C (2 cellphones and something else).
I am not and have never been on the Cell C Network. The usual question is where did they receive my personal information from? And is this not suppose to be illegal nowdays?
Anyway back to my story, I let her finish her sales pitch and I inform her that I have just renewed my contract with my current SP and will not be able to port. She informs me that I will not need to port as I obtain a new number. I said no thanks I am happy with my number.
She just drops the call without a goodbye or anything? This is why I am actually posting this rant of mine. This, per me, is pathetic service and has basically convinced me to rather stay with the devil(s) I know than port.
Should I even bother with complaining on Hello Peter? Is there a Cell C rep on this forum? If there is, please get someone in your marketing dept. to teach the telemarketers basic telephone etiquette.
