Its a 9800Gtx rebrande basically. Kepler maybe released before Xmas so the prices of older gpus and some of Fermi might come down as they try to clear stock

Accelerated Graphics Port. It's what people used before PCI-Express. I don't believe any 8-series cards were AGP so no need to worry.
Oh my bad how could i forget. tnx but its pci. I am actually planning on getting the 560ti i have a 8400GS but i want to play bf3 for the meantime so i found the gts250

For 400 its good, its still a decent mid-range card...though a 560ti wouldve been way better

Is it the 1gb or the 512mb version? I rate it's about what the card is worth, if it's 1gb then you got a nice little deal.
1GB would not bother taking the 512 as it wont support most games now days.
What resolution are you playing on? And hows the fps
Cant remember the resolution and most settings are on the default medium settings it set to.

It is underpowered relative to your PC specs, and it might just about get by on BF3 but you wont get a lot of eye candy out of it. You'll have to outlay some real money for that.

If medium settings are enough to "get by" in BF3 then I am doing fine. I have that exact card and run everything on medium. Guess Im just scraping by as well huh?
The only option I have to up in graphics is to spend R2000 on a card, but right now the GTS250 plays bf3 fine. It doesnt just scrape through. A 9800GT just scrapes through. The GTS250 plays the game smoothly at 40fps on medium settings.

Medium settings is scraping through for a lot of gamers. I guess it depends what your standards are. Some are happy as long as they can play the game, others want minimum High throughout, others won't do anything less than Ultra @ 2560.
