GTX690 - Cleaning and reapplying TIM

Does anyone know of anyone in the Cape town area, that can clean and re-apply the thermal paste-pads on my 690?
From online vids etc ive seen, i would myself like to try, but im scared of breaking something inside

My concern is the GPU temps. Lately been playing ME:A and have noticed temps reach as much as 93c on load. When idle ling, its hovers around 30-33c, last winter 25-30c, so im sure my card still ok, just thinks needs new TIM.

It's really not that hard, you need a screw driver, alcohol & some artic silver 5 (or better).

If you are really freaked out ask wootware if they can help you out.

It is quite easy, you can definitely do it yourself if you have installed a CPU before. Exactly the same process

Remember to use a pea sized drop of paste and let it spread by itself when you place the heatsink. Don't spread it with your finger, or do the whole X pattern thing - you're wasting your time and paste.

thx for all the tips, my only concern is i don't damage the T-pads when i take it apart, will be very careful and slow, tackling it this weekend, wish me luck

You can always just get new ones if you damage them, might even be a good idea to replace them if they're really crusty: http://www.firstshop.co.za/artic-thermal-pad-high-87276700763-5-p-30190

So update:
Firstly i couldn't take my 690 apart, even though i had a T5 and a T6 Torx screwdriver, was to small, it looks like a T9 or T8....
But i still went ahead and did the CPU TIM, also replaced all my fans, 3 in case and 2 for CPU cooler, also cleaned all the dust inside and dust from my cards, spent about 4 hours today.....

When done fist thing i noticed how quite everything was, as if my PC was still off.
Second my GPU temps are now idling at low 30c-ties from before mid 30c-ties, my CPU also idling high 20c-ties from b4 mid 30c-ties.

I then started up ME:A - 1080p - all high settings with texture and post effects medium - and played for about 30min, both GPU 90% load and max temp 86c from b4 93c, CPU max 60c from b4 max 70c

Still going to do the GPU, buts thats for another day when i acquire the right Torx size.......

Ive attached a pic of the Torx screwdrivers i got.

Just take the gpu to the shop to get the right torx size then.
