I plan on purchasing a nokia phone within the next two weeks and I have found that I can get it cheaper if I buy it on the MTN and Cell C networks than on the Vodacom network.

How would the guarantee be affected if I just used my vodacom sim card in that phone since there is a nokia 24 month guarantee. Who would service that guarantee should something go wrong?

I had an guarantee issue a while ago. It was with a samsung phone which has a 1 year guarantee, although vodacom give you a 2 year guarantee. In the beginning I used it with VC, but after a while switched to MTN. When I had the problem, I went to VC, cause it was bought there, and immediately the lady who scanned the phone told me that she'll do me a favour to let it be repaired under the warrantee, cause it was not used on VC network for a while.

But on your case, I dont think you'll have a problem, cause the guarantee is backed by nokia, they dont tell you on which network you must use it.

Yea, if the guarantee is from nokia I would guess that network doesnt matter. Although I dont know who you would take it to if something went wrong
