Pep Guardiola has hinted he could leave Barcelona at the end of next season because "players tire of coaches and vice versa".

The 40-year-old former Barca midfielder has had huge success in the Nou Camp hotseat, winning La Liga for the past two seasons and the Champions League in 2009, but has always been coy about his future by only signing one-year contract extensions.

"I think my time here at Barcelona is coming to an end," said Guardiola in an interview with Italian television station Rai. "I'm happy here but when you are at a club like this for a long time it's not possible to stay long-term.

Wouldn't make much difference anyways. "Hey Lionel, here is a ball. Kick it around for a couple hours with your mates". That's pretty much the extent of what it takes to (as much as it pains me to say this) coach a team with such talent.

- Is it just me or is that comment rather amusing?

LMAO

without a good coach any team would be a utter failure... look @ Argentina, Inter (with Rafa), Chelsea (after Mou left), etc.

Well in that case I say the Arsenal board should make an inquiry :p

Come to LFC if he wants a real challenge

if you read it on supersport.com chances are the news is stale :)
someone posted a thread about this earlier in the week

Come to LFC if he wants a real challenge

We were all very happy to see Kenny take over the helm, but in reality and all honesty Liverpool needs a damn good manager like Pep, to not only overcome the obstacles, but also to seriously challenge for trophies again.

What LFC needs more than anything is a change in mentality. Abandon the cynical long ball defensive style, predominantly used away from home, that has dogged LFC for more than a decade and go back to the positive attacking style of the past.

I thought Kenny would bring that back and certainly that seemed to be the case in the first few games but it's become apparent it is in fact not so. We've had half a dozen games under Kenny that were as bad if not worse than anything under Hodgson and Rafa already.

Maybe he'll goto Spurs for the opportunity to manage the worlds best player, Bale
