Guateng and Durban Browsing Problems

Please note you *may* experience browsing and or email problems in Guateng and Durban.

I guess you have to blame the transparent proxy you are forced to use to browse the web.

If that is down, you've had it.

Telkom claims that local sites are not routed via the proxy, that is why you can see this site most probably.

failed lookups on mweb, iafrica, news24, openweb... :confused:
 
Mweb have a ADSl e-mail server problem. Telkom claims they have no problems becauseTelkom ping and local website works fine that means the line works! the rest they do not care about (international) that is someone elses problem. I were so upset I told him his a moron like telkom and just wasted my time, talking to telkom as usual means nothing. Thus the undersea cable is not their issue ?? Why the HeLL do they control it then. So we are again stuck..... Why I could not browse Mweb or any other local site remains a mystery. That is the Telkom call centre syndrome.

I cant get Google either, looks like only addresses i can resolve are ones ive visted in the past hour, so cached I guess
 
I cannot browse international since 4:15pm !
WTF is going on ? what do i do ? phone Telkom ?
Is it their problem ?
 
:mad: same problem in North-West (Lichtenburg) - can view some local sites and no international sites

Run a Proxy test to check your Transparent Proxy
