Hi,

I urgently need help please. Couple of days ago I copied some stuff from someone else's flash drive. A day later all my files started "creating" exe. Files. I've scanned the pc and all drives with avast anti virus. It picks up the following: gudp.exe ( Thread: win32:infostealer-U (tri). I've tried moving it to the chest and then deleting it but it still "jumps" back. Even done a boot scan and deleted from there. I'm at my wits end here! Please ! Does anybody know how I can get rid of this thing??? There is also a pop-up "trojan horse blocked"

Boot up in safe mode.

Do a full scan

Also, delete everything in your temp folder.

I had a nasty worm which could not be getting rid off even after a full scan, but once I deleted *.* in the temp folder, it was gone for good (in safe mode).

Hi, thanx for the advice. Not 100% sure how to so the whole safe mode and temp folder thing! Haha. Not so much clued up with that part of the os.

When booting up your PC hold either F2 or F8 and boot in safe mode, once you're in safe mode press Win key and R then in the box type Temp then press enter, once you are in the temp folder select all and delete, its safe.

Rick, sent you a pm. If you can help me further please.
