Guess how rich Bill Gates is

And he has been giving away billions at a time for a while now.

Mr. Gates, can I like have 0.00001% of your wealth? Pretty please.

Wow, that is obscenely rich. :D

Can't ask us to guess if you put the answer in the article

I heard that gates was quite the cut throat business man back in the day but I guess you don't become one of the world's richest by kissing ass

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundations is registered in the US as a Private Foundation. This means that all of the money in it still belongs to Bill Gates, it has not been given away. The advantage of using this foundation is that it can carry on investing the money through whatever means without having to pay any tax. The one legal stipulation is that 5% of the assets must go to public charity each year, which is still better than paying tax.

There have been some criticisms. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Gates#Bill_.26_Melinda_Gates_Foundation: “In 2007 the Los Angeles Times criticized the foundation for investing its assets in companies which have been accused of worsening poverty, polluting heavily, and pharmaceutical companies that do not sell into the developing world.[107] In response to press criticism, the foundation announced a review of its investments to assess social responsibility.[108] It subsequently canceled the review and stood by its policy of investing for maximum return, while using voting rights to influence company practices.[109] The Gates Millennium Scholars program has been criticized by Ernest W. Lefever for its exclusion of Caucasian students.[110] The scholarship program is administered by the United Negro College Fund.[111] “

There have also been criticisms that his philanthropy to developing countries has seen him personally visiting the countries and meeting with the local governments. This has sometimes been associated with large government orders for Microsoft products immediately thereafter.

There are reasons that he is still the leader of the pack.

Apparently he has stopped giving away money.

Warren Buffet would have topped the list. He always gives to charity... He gave half of his fortune away if I recall to Gates Foundation or 20 billion something ridiculous.
