Opel Kadett Coupe Vignale 1965.

I looked at hundreds of Kadetts and the grille was never right. grrrrrrr.

This special one-off Kadett by Vignale was initially built as a Convertible on the underpinnings of '64 Opel Kadett A and shown at the '65 Geneva Motor Show. The same year this open top Kadett was converted to a Coupe and to be shown at the Turin Motor Show.

Only 19 Ascorts were made and few remain today.

The Ascort was an Australian automobile manufactured by Continental Coachwork of Sydney from 1958 to 1960. It was basically a Volkswagen Beetle turned into a four-seater touring coupe and featured a roomy, double-skinned body made out of fiberglass and closely resembled a 1970s Karmann Ghia coupe. The 1·2-liter Beetle engine was modified using an Okrasa kit to produce 54bhp.
