The 105mm Rooikat is still called an armoured car and not a tank.

Maybe you refer to the 105mm Olifant as a tank, then you would be right.

a Wheeled tank based on the Rooikat concept with a 105mm gun was built. Thats all I said. It was not an armoured car but a tank.

Yes, a 8x8 wheeled tank was built at the start of the forerunner of the Rooikat project and was one of the concepts, but was discarded. So it is not based on the Rooikat as the Rooikat evolved later on during development of the chosen concept of the project.

It was named Bismark by the evaluators of the different concepts as it handled like a big ship, and the name of the German destroyer Bismark of WW2 was chosen.

Such a pity Studebaker was not able to go ahead with their designs, they are refreshingly un Yank tank...
