Guess that car

Ok, Now I've narrowed it down to a Hillman or Hillman Minx... getting there.. :)
Must have been a Minx (also rebranded as Humber Singer and Sunbeam) - all rootes group cars. Owned by Lord Nuffield. Dad to the rescue (his first car was a Hillman) :D

At last!! That is a 1953 Hillman Minx which wasn't even a very nice car when it was new!! ;)

AHA!! A decent challenge at last! :D

That looks like a 3 wheeler Morgan with 4 wheels, so I'll have to start looking!! ;)

Superb race history with 'firsts' at most of the UK events (Mallory,Silverstone, Oulton, Loton,Wiscombe,Goodwood etc.).

The car was created along the lines of the XXXX 12/70 works racer, being alloy bodied over a 'birdcage' style space-frame and the engine supercharged using a Rootes type blower fed by twin 1.5" SU carbs.
