Gimme a break - only just saw the thread! Got a pic of the 1973 GTR/XU1 Bathurst edition? When I was a youngster, that was one HOT car. They looked awesome in pink, believe it or not. A 351 chev V8 shoehorned into that little body made it a deathtrap. They were banned. Very rare now, and quite a collectors item.

It's actually a Zephyr, but you cannot tell the difference between the two from this shot, so well done!! Post up !:D

SA had it's own version of the V8 in the Firenza body, the "Little Chev"...raced by Basil van Rooyen, and a few others..horribly quick and horribly dangerous!!

Heheheh... yup, somehow, for me, Ford is an AMERICAN car in my mind. I just cannot get Ford=USA outa my skull... blooming mental block.

Had one, it was a nice car in it's day. Converted it to 2 litre roller bearing motor in 1970.
